This was a good sized meeting engagement of post WW2 British and Soviet forces. The British consolidated on their left, quickly setting up defenses around the two small towns and fortifying them with AT guns and armored support. The British center also dug in. The Soviets advanced in two groups, from the left and right. The open ground was their undoing. The Soviet right, in the process of moving towards their left wing (their was only one British held town hex on the Soviet right) they were caught in the open and their armor destroyed. The Soviet assault on the left also met with disaster as the combined arms British forces chopped them up. A very fun, large battle worthy of more play.
