After the Italians set up a defense of the town and the road behind it, the British flanked the position around the North and set a spoiling attack in the South to prevent reinforcements from coming to the rescue of the town. In fact, not only were the reinforcements prevented from heading North, they were cut off completely! In short, the battle went better than expected and the British prevailed easily. |
