Scenario KurS003

The Soviet Commander set a tough defense line in the town and flanking it with the minefields. This left the flanks of that to be set with the fortifications. It made for a very strong line. It took the Germans until half way through the game to break it. The Germans mopped up most of the Russians while closing with the secondary line. At that point the Germans were short enough time to accomplish the next couple of objectives. (i.e. getting off the board and getting the Russians to quit the heights.) The Germans could have done a few things to get the scenario to go their way. 1) They could have concentrated more on the flanks instead of trying to bully their way through the town on board 36. (It would have left them in better position to take on the hill masses on board 38.) 2) They could have spent less time on mopping up the Soviets while transitioning board 36. 3) They could have made better use of their tanks. (Although the mud DID have a negative affect on the tank usage.) In short, a better job by the Germans COULD have turned the tide. Note: I still protest that the length of this one was WAY too long!
