Tough scenario for the French, they have to defend the town hexes on map 33 (3x) & map 31 (9x), with a squadron of dismounted cavalry (3-3) as best they can until their reinforcements arrive to help redress the situation. The French are outgunned by the more numerous German infantry (5-3), which easily handled the French DM Cavalry and when the French reinforcements arrived they just added those platoons to the body count. A bright spot for the French was a 25mm ATG battery that took out a couple truck platoons, infantry and all but was soon blown to bits by German OBA.
