This play-through took only a single session to complete and resulted in a victory for the Australian side in this classically unbalanced, but fun-to-play scenario. My seasoned opponent played the Italian side and had a good bit of luck with his combat die rolls and also had control of the British tank company for one turn at the start of the game, as per the weird special rules for this scenario. We discovered that it is virtually impossible for the Italians to prevail in this scenario since the Australian side may attempt to force the surrender of entrenched or dug-in Italian units, simply by moving Allied tanks into adjacent hexes. Very unsporting IMHO! Since I managed to win this one in spite of my inept close assault sequencing, I gave this scenario a 2, though it probably deserves a 1. |
