Armata Romana: scenario Six: Tank Battle at Orhei Looks kind of interesting on paper, four maps, low counter density, 30 turns and the Romanian R2 tanks have to slip 3 units by the Soviet T-34A and T-26 tanks and off the south edge of the map but what is a unit? Should it be steps, does one unit mean two steps, is half a step half a unit? The Soviets can win by eliminating four or more Romanian steps. One more thing, the Romanian aircraft are pretty much useless against Soviet armor units. Kind of a chest match but 30 turns are not needed in this short scenario, the Soviets eliminated 8 Romanian steps and the Romanians exited four steps, so is it a draw or a Soviet victory? I’ll give this one to the Soviets as their victory, eliminating 8 steps, while the 4 Romanian steps fled off the Southern edge of the map. The Romanians get no victory points for eliminating Soviet unit, so the only logical thing for them to do is try an avoid contact. It wasn’t the best scenario to pick, when there are so many better ones! |
