This is a really tough one for the Australians. They might have had a shot if the Japanese didn't beat them to the crossroads...but I don't see how that wouldn't happen. Even if the Aussie's get first initiative a couple times in a row, the Japanese forces entering from either the North or South trail will be in a position to stop half the force. The odds of them surviving any attempt to slow them down with their 9 Morale is pretty good. It's also unclear whether some of the terrain is light or heavy jungle. I interpreted most of it as heavy...if it was light it could have changed the outcome since that would have been an extra hex the running Aussies could have tacked on in a couple places. It was a nice intro to the jungle for me...albeit a lopsided one.
