Introduction

The Soviets often used night as cover for counterattacks. In this scenario, Soviet forces attempt to take back a strategic hill taken from them the previous day.

Conclusion

Here an outnumbered but higher-morale German force tries to hold off a Soviet human wave attack. Though it's short, Night Assault Specialists will get lots of LPs in this scenario.

Scenario CCV1013

After a long day of fighting no leader wants to fight again at night, but this scenario has the Soviets launching a night attack. The other Captain and the LT fought this one and fought it well. They were able to put together a hedgehog defense to good use. The Soviets tried to assault the defensive position located on a slight rise in the middle of the map. But German OP fire was well placed and the Soviets were beaten easily. Final score was 18-3 for the Germans.

The leaders performed well with the both accumulating promotion points and the Captain earning a medal qualifying him for a promotion to Major. But he did not make the die roll and stays at a Captain. The LT earns another skill, the AT skill.

As for the scenario, a good night infantry game. Even though the Germans won easily, I believe the dice were against the Soviets and another play could go the other way, so I would play again at some point.
