Honoring Our Best, Vol. 44 | 2014-02-08 02:34 |
On January 19th plloyd1010 completed his effort to also rewrite history when he sheathed his katana and turned his back on the smoking hulks of Soviet armor scattered along the banks of the Khalkhin Gol. The glorious rise of Japan in Greater Asia was only just beginning.
plloyd1010, in recognition and commemoration of your accomplishments, you are hereby awarded this ribbon: |

This ribbon is an adaptation of the primary colors on the Badge of the Battle of Khalkhin Gol:
- porcelain sky
- golden fields
- Soviet red (naturally)
These badge was issued by the Mongolian People's Republic and was later considered equivalent to a medal, though no ribbon was ever included as far as I can tell.
One day, it would be nice if they make this a non self-construct kit. That said, I believe there were plans distant to have some kind of set on this anyway.
Well done Peter, it must be nice to get your nice self-made counters out on the boards.
Nice ribbon Drew!
In honesty, I should point out that my cousin rewrote history. I spent most of the time on the receiving end. Neither of us really liked most of the scenarios. We both felt Konstantin was trying to force the outcomes too much. Still we did enjoy the games, especially when coupled with a little supplemental reading.
The Motherland will not long suffer this indignation!
