Jay,
Thanks for the work you put in on this one. I love the history, but have to wait until I get Saipan, and to find some free time to play.
Mike
Good to know Mike. You will need both Saipan & Marianas however to play this supplement.
I finally received my copy last Saturday. I’m already playing the first scenario and it looks good. Bravo Zulu Jay.
This is the official Leyte Errata & Clarifications:
Leyte, Errata & Clarifications: - Scenario Eleven: Tanks in the Night
Under the victory conditions:
AND at least 12 Japanese steps have been eliminated.
Should be: AND at least 2 Japanese steps have been eliminated.
As clearly there are not even 12 Japanese steps.- Scenario Twenty Seven: Kilay Ridge
The Japanese setup second.
Under the victory condition for the Japanese it should say all 60-meter hexes are Japanese controlled at the end of play not American.- Scenario Twenty Eight: Texas Horse Soldiers
Under victory conditions:
The 80-Metter Hill hex….. Should say: The 60-Meter Hill hex, a there are no 80-meter hills on this map.- Scenario Thirty-Six: The Last Airfield
The Americans setup first.- Scenario Forty-Two: Vlug’s Bazooka
There is no enter or setup for the Japanese.
Should be: Enter on the south edge of the map on turn one or later.
- Scenario Forty-Four: Lost Angels
The Americans setup first.
Sorry about the plexiglass reflection.
The scenarios I have been playing through on the finished product have been really enjoyable plays and I think I have 12 played so far. So fun situations.
All of the Leyte '44 scenarios have been entered, and I added the errata from the list. Before I add errata for Scenario 28, I do have one question for Jay.
You listed the following erratum:
Quote:- Scenario Twenty Eight: Texas Horse Soldiers
Under victory conditions:
The 80-Metter Hill hex….. Should say: The 60-Meter Hill hex, a there are no 80-meter hills on this map.
The two maps listed for the scenario are 83 and 100. Map 83 has no 60-meter hexes. Map 100 has a rather large 60-meter hill.
Should the victory condition read "all of the 60-meter hexes"
OR
Map 82 has exactly one 80-meter hill hex. Was the map changed during development? Or is is possible that the erratum should be "Use map 82 instead of map 83."?
