Leyte, minor Errata:

  • Scenario Eleven: Tanks in the Night
Under the victory conditions:
AND at least 12 Japanese steps have been eliminated.
Should be: AND at least 2 Japanese steps have been eliminated.
As clearly there are not even 12 Japanese steps.

  • Scenario Forty-Two: Vlug’s Bazooka
There is no enter or setup for the Japanese.
Should be: Enter on the south edge of the map on turn one or later.
One cool new rule you may have noticed or not but there is now cave movement between adjacent caves.

Cave Movement:

Japanese units may move between adjacent Caves using tunnels. This costs two movement points, and moving units are not subject to Opportunity Fire.

I came up with this idea while designing some of the scenarios and reading about some of these cave situations.
46 scenarios? Can't wait to see them.
If the post office is on time I should be getting my copy tomorrow.

Let's complicate this... Huh
Rule 16.73 States that if a side suffers more step losses in an assault than the other, that side must vacate the hex (and be subject to the free shot). Assuming adjacent caves here, could a dislodged force retreat into an adjacent cave? Would they be subject to a free shot while doing so?

I would say yes to both, if the force retreating is Japanese. The Americans retreat out of the hex, most likely from the hex they entered from.

I just checked. In the last 24 hours my copy made its way from Memphis to [wait for it ...] Pittsburgh! I live in the greater Detroit metro area - nowhere near Pittsburgh! Well, I can see that I won’t be getting my copy tomorrow, which by the way, is still the official ETA for my game.

Peace ☮️

Pittsburgh, sheesh!

I believe mine is on the same truck.

It isn't surprising, that with Dejoy's cut-backs, the postal service can only operate one truck. Big Grin
I got my copy last week.

Jay,

Thanks for the work you put in on this one.  I love the history, but have to wait until I get Saipan, and to find some free time to play.
