The horse-MG platoon only existed in the cavalry divisions but not among the Spahis. The four voitures légères de mitrailleuse platoon (VLM) had 4 X MG, 46 men, 56 horses (and 2 spare AAMGs). The MGs were mounted on the cart and were fired directly from its deck. |
