Many products of PG have come out since about 1998 and it's still going strong with a large enough following! What will it be like in 10 years from now?

To tell you the truth, we are fortunate it has last this long and continues to do so, with all the road bumps AP experienced over the last couple of years.

Here is hoping for many more years and many more products!
This year marks my eighth year of playing Panzer Grenadier.
Are our dates correct, then? PG came out in 1998 and the next game, Heroes, didn't arrive until 2001?

I think so Andrew, as BGG has the publish date of 1998 for PG. I thought it was 1999 however.
Some of the art for the Game was copyrighted 1998 but release date was later, March 2001. March 21st is the date of the first It Came! post at Consimworld. Airborne, third boxed release was schedualed to debut Sept 11, 2001 (the day I was vacationing in Kusadasi Turkey.
I've only been playing since 2007 or 2008...sometimes it seems like 14 years Smile

Thanks Larry, PaGr's game release data updated accordingly.
I've been playing since 2001. Granted, I wasn't playing much those first few years. I didn't start really playing PG heavily until shortly before the third edition of the rules came out. Cool
I've had PG in my collection for seven years at least, but I only got it to the table in the last few.

edit: Given the recent troubles with Avalanche, if we imagine a scenario where the company just can't keep things going, how much do you think it would cost to buy the rights to their series? I often wonder what it took for a company like Critical Hit to get the rights to the original Tobruk and turn it into ATS. I wonder what it would cost to get the rights to PG and go all Academy Games components on it or SWWAS and rewrite the rulebook or something?
Believe you have a typo there. Panzer Grenadier was actually shipped in March of 2000, not 2001. Link to the Consimworld post:
Consimworld Panzer Grenadier post #211

I've changed the release data (back) again.
