The offensive started out all right, but got stuck in the Southern portions of the forest by a couple of VERY stubborn AT guns. This set the attack back a few turns at which time the German Commander pretty much decided that it was a lost cause, considering the shortness of the scenario but (knowing the Fuhrer's resistance toward retreat), decided to keep on trying to no avail. After putting on a good show for the "honor" (you know) the Germans surrendered just short of the finish. (Note - This scenario is pretty well matched and is good for shared play.) |
