Caesar Epic Battle of Alesia, Avalon Hill's
I picked up a brand new copy of this last year still in shrink-wrap, opened it about 7 months ago, punched & clipped the counters and played the game. I really enjoyed it and found a creative way to play it solo. A real gem of a game, I am very happy to finally have a copy!

Is this the "donut" one where you're laying siege while at the same time being besieged yourself?
...came for the cardboard, stayed for the camaraderie...

You're right Jay - this is a great game and one of my favorites. Many times it comes down to the last turn. Yes Shad - this is the tactical donut.

You have to hand it to Caesar - many Generals who were out-gunned 6 to 1 would have turned and beat feet. Caesar knew that Gaul could only be conquered if he captured Vercingetorix. The training and discipline of the Roman army shined in this battle.
