Nearly 1800 counters, including system counters, Japanese forces, and the forces of SIXTEEN Chinese and Mongolian factions. Best arguement I know of that Europe was just a sideshow and the main theatre of Operations in World War 2 was China, 1937-1945.

I own this. Someday I will have a local friend and a big table to enjoy it with. Rolleyes

Now Diffraction Games of Canada has entered the giant game scene: They've got a Pacific Game w/ 2200+ named Day of Infamy. 11 maps, 75 miles:1", all for only $339.00 CD on eBay.

I just got my copy of War of Resistance from storage in the East. In fact, now I've got all my games; 25 % of all Panzer Grenadier and most titles of APL's War at Sea, both WWI & WWII.

Moving back to Desert Hot Springs. This means I can play FtF w/ Dean Huffman again.

What do they propose to do that War in the Pacific and Pacific War didn't?

It's parallel to Europa. War in the Pacific (SPI) was big much like War in the East or Highway to the Reich. But this thing is Ping-Pong table size. I played Drach Nach Osten back in 1976; units can range from battalion to Division. Air combat ranges from half squad to full squad and is simple but fun.

I noticed John Bannerman as the designer and this is part of the The WWII Serries( TWWS) List Price $219#
