Cool! Link & graphics! Punch it up!
It all started with wanting link my peculiar version of PG that I play with a couple of friends. Those rules and charts can still be accessed in the House Rules forum. I wanted a more direct, personalized for others to access them. [Image: lightbulb.gif] Profile Page!

First I tried hyperlinks as are done in the comments, on the front page. The comment window makes for nice editor when it comes to formatting errata, E&O entries and editing game and scenario info. Doesn't work in the Personal Bio entry window though. No go, just a big text string.

Next I tried the forum entry scheme for hyperlinks. It is the same format used at BGG, create a link in a forum post and click the Source button to see what I mean. Again, doesn't work in the Personal Bio entry window, just a big string.

Third try, Consim also has a hyperlink process. This one is more like regular HTML, though there entry window works more like the forums here. I entered my bio information, added the hyperlinks, went to the source code window (looks like <>) and copied that into my Personal Bio entry window. Success! I have hyperlinks in my profile. Anyone can get my rules and charts there, included the commented version.

Mischief. [Image: dodgy.gif] What if I could do this with graphics? There is no way to upload graphics on the profile page, but what about linking an image? Well, that works too. HTML text formatting, again done in the Consim forum window, and copied from the source code, also works.

So check my profile window. Note the (pretentious) graphic and hyperlinks. Think about elevating your own profile. Just don't make the graphics too big, I don't like people who make my browser choke.
