Ochi: The Italian Invasion of Greece, 1940-41

This is a fascinating subject that doesn't gets much attention in WWII gaming especially at this scale. If Italy hadn't got involved in Greece they would of had many more Divisions and units for North Africa, this campaign tied them up for 6 months in some of the most brutal combat of WWII.

I am happy it's a standalone game now.

I worked on this one very hard, to make sure there is no errata. Hopefully, the design doesn't get change much in development, as I believe it is prefect as is.

RE: Ochi: The Italian Invasion of Greece, 1940
Ochi is divided into three sections, the naming might change but this is how I submitted it:

  • The Italian Invasion of Greece (15 scenarios)
  • The Greek Counteroffensive and the Stalemate (19 scenarios)
  • The Italian Spring Offensive (Operazione Primavera) and the Effect of the German April Invasion on The Albanian Front (6 scenarios)

The games has 16 1-map scenarios, 19 2-map scenarios and 5 3-maps scenarios. The scenarios range from small to large but nothing huge. The scenario are mostly Infantry and support weapons but it does have 11 scenarios with some type of armor, so it has armor.

My money has already been "in the bank" at AP for this one because I really was interested in the Campaign. Alas, "another" is getting the interest on the investment. The old dodge: "He's just waiting for me to die...." comes to mind. (So AP just pockets the cash! Ha!) )Maybe that's not too far wrong.) Hmmmm.

I have two others paid for but (thus far) no "cigar", Jamara Road (another one I was very interested in) and Mareth Line. That's it for PRE-orders. I absolutely refuse to put my money into stuff with no "cigar". I wait for "Blessed Availableness" (until AP starts cheating on that one) and THEN order. That's the way of it.

RE: Ochi: The Italian Invasion of Greece, 1940
Over the last year or two, I have had more people reach out to me on CSW, BGG & email about this game than any other game I have designed, including gamers from Italy & Greece. Tonight, in fact, a gentleman from Greece inquired about the 5th Division, 43 Regiment that came from his hometown and family members were in bad in the day. I was happy to report that I do have a scenario with that unit in it. I really believe this will be a hot seller, and not your normal titles/topic that saturated markets but great unique topic. I put a ton of work on this one and hope AP can let is go through without much touching up. And I am pushing for this year instead of next but that is up to Mike.
