I just hate it when special rules say these things are really like this. I know that counter limits make it so, but I still don't like it. So I make my own sometimes.

General Use Counters
Austrian Leaders
    Tank Battles introduced the Austrians before Hopeless But Not Serious and Darkness Falls, however Austrian leaders were omitted. APL provided a DIY download titled A Bucket of Nothing.
Cuban Rebels
    Cuba rebels in To Hell With Spain have the same colors as the Spanish. That just wouldn't do.
Corpo Alpini
    The Alpini got their own colors in Conquest of Ethiopia, but their formations also make appearances in Fronto Russo and Little Saturn. They should also be helping invade Greece and southern France.
Finnish Counters for Arctic Front Deluxe
    The download for Arctic Front have the wrong font, so I redid the counters. I also created counters for jeagers, strongpoints and others. Duplicated leaders have had their backs shifted so they are not replicas, but still have the same probability of getting a given leader.
Soviet Counter supplements Part 1 and Page 2
   These are built out countersheets for the Lend-Lease tanks and counters used in Arctic Front and the Leningrad expansions.
Fire and Sword counter corrections
   The Soviet M17 was left off the countersheet. The SPW251/9 had the wrong values, Philippe Leonard confirmed he wanted the SPW251/9 and not the SPW251/22. The SPW251/17 and SPW251/21 counters were mislabeled.
Italy's Elephant Corps
    They actually tried it. The counters work better than the idea did.
Hitler and Schuschnigg counters
    Tank Battles and Hopeless But Not Serious (and I expect Darkness Falls will too) have a scenario where Hitler is holding Kurt Schuschnigg hostage. The Austrian army is preparing to storm the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest), but Schuschnigg was freed before that actualy occurred.
Mongolian People's Army
    Appearing first in Power of the East, they also provided military assistance to the Soviet Union during the Nazi invasion. Imagine them charging a German infantry regiment, oh wait, I think some of them actually did.
Piechoty from Bron Pancerna
Polish Supplemental Counters
    These are Polish infantry armed with semi-automatic rifles, like the M1 Garand. The word piechoty literally means infantry.
Polish Supplemental Counters
    Polish counters in Polish Exiles no longer need French substitutes, the Polish colors are here. There are also OBA markers to support all the scenarios
    from Lithuania's Iron Wolves to Carpathian Brigade. The sheet includes the piechoty counters above.
Polish casemates.
    Back with White Eagles, one had to use strongpoints from  Airborne, until APL created Polish strongpoints as a download. I wish they had done that with the casemates needed for  Deluge.
Portee counters
    Stacks in PG are big enough. This helps keep the portees from building that tower.
Repubblica Sociale Italiana
    Italy had had enough of Mussolini and his adventure. His followers had not.
Romanian Border Guards
    With their neighbors all wanting a piece of Romania, these guys became the rock stars of the army.
South Korean M20 replacement counters
   The simple fact is that the M20 is not, nor could be, an APC. As an APC in Pusan Perimeter it is either superfluous on incongruous to the scenarios in which it appears.
Volksgrendier Regiment
    After the Invasion of Germany download and Campaigns & Commanders diagram, the Volksgrenadiers need a little more.

    This is a fleshed out version of the Grossdeutschland Regiment as it was in Fall of France, including the attached assault gun battery

Custom Countersets made for PG-HQ Members
U.S. 23rd Infantry Regiment, U.S. 40th Armor Regiment/Battalion, U.S. 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment and U.S. 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

I just did a Palestinian reboot, which also has enough unit counters to cover VoA 6. Sent that to APL yesterday. We'll see what comes of it

I have the Market-Garden maps from the other Gunny (Don). I would to do something with those. Had a Sicily project a while back. A spoiler counterplay thing of 5 scenarios for each side. For countersheets, it depends what comes up.

         I think it Big Red One, or "BRO" counters to go along with the Big Red One Campaign Study.   I served one tour in Iraq with 2-16 Infantry "Rangers."  I was the Battalion XO (call Sign Ranger 6).  The 16th Regiment is the only unit in the Army, outside of the Ranger Regiment, that uses the call sign Ranger for each of its Battalions (1st - Iron Rangers, 2nd - Rangers, etc.).  It stems from when the 16th Infantry was reorganized in Germany in 1948, the regiment needed to come up with a name for its various sports teams. Its soldiers chose the name “Rangers” due to the fact that the Germans had mistakenly reported the regiment as Rangers on D-day. The regiment has maintained that tradition to this this day, with modifications to the basic moniker by the various battalions over the years.

         Though my favorite assignment was with 3-502nd Infantry Regiment, 101st Infantry Division Air Assault (AASLT).  In WWII, they were an Airborne Unit, and the Battalion was called the "Widowmakers."  Like all Battalions and Regiments they had their own symbol - The Widowmaker attached below.  I was with them for the Invasion of Iraq in 2003, as the Assistant Operations Officer (callsign Widowmaker 3A), later I was the Logistics officer (Widowmaker 4), and then Commander of C Co. (Hardcore 6).  I was with them when they transitioned to a Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquistion  Squadron(3-502nd RSTA) and transitioned my Rifle Company into a a Mounted Reconnaissance Troop, where I choose my call sign (Apache 6) for the newly constituted A Troop.



      I really think the BRO division counters would be ideal.  I just liked sharing the story of some of the units I was involved with.

Making a 3/502nd PIR counterset wouldn't be difficult, it is only 15 counters or so.

The 1st ID is a bit more of a problem. It needs about 250 counters, depending on how many trucks are included. That makes at least 3 countersheets (of the foldable guide type I make). What concerns me is the background color. Red does not show up well on green used for American counters. I'll need to make a new background color to make the artistry work.

BTW - 23rd Infantry Regiment is perhaps most famous for the battle of Chipyong-ni.

Okay Mike, you got your U.S. 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment.

The 1st Infantry could take a while. I thinking of using a color scheme like the 1st Cavalry. That way the emblem will show up.
