RE: The Official --( Introduce Yourself )-- Thread!
Well, I suspect that I may very well be the oldest "player" in these forums. Not only does this hobby serve my interest in history but it also helps keep my mind sharp.

GG Ah, but your probably not the eldest PG Player. I think that Tambu, OldPueblo, Tubac52, Sagunto & RedCloud03 have you beat, or are perhaps tied with your vintage. All of these are challenging & determined online VASSAL players. I'm 65, so I think you are likely my senior.

Well I might have you beat, but I'm not sure. I'm not even half way through my 30s yet.

Hurrah!
Two talented, child warriors leading vast wheeling masses of PG cardboard!
Alexander the Great invaded Asia Minor as King of Macedon at just 22.
Hmm, George Armstrong Custer was 22 when he became a Brevet Brigadier General . . .
Fight on, Boys!

Checking in as young-ish grognard. When I started with hex and counter that was easier to say but I'm 34 now and just got into Infantry Attacks after watching a couple buds play some PG together. The Black Mountain pack was a big draw and hoping to dive into that soon as well as play through some of the Vassal Modules available.
I'm Matt from the Kansas City area and I play all sorts of games, primarily historical board games but also a good amount of Euros, 18xx, and rpgs. I host a wargame podcast called "History on the Table" which releases monthly and hits on a bunch of different historical games. I've played a good amount of ASL at the KC ASL group and I've dabbled with ATS now and then. Looking forward to shaking things up a bit with Infantry Attacks and maybe even some PG.

GG Proud to be 80 and still playing this darn kid's game with anyone that will agree to play online, or in-person. I may be the eldest, and wrinkliest of the PG-HQ Brethren. Just finished fighting the Treadasaurus to a face-to-face draw, today, and it sure feels that way!
In response to the many comments and laments about how poorly written the current edition of the PG rule book is, all I can say is that I wish that the powers that be at APL would check out the numerous comments about rule edits, scenario errata, experimental house rules, and other amendments that many people in this forum or in our AARs have suggested. It's probably WAY past time for a new edition.
