What if Churchill committee to full support of Weygand's army? With Dunkirk we will have the units to try it. The Wehrmacht was tired, their troops messed up by multiple days of Meth, and every kilometer put them farther from resupply.
"Road to Dunkirk" includes some scenarios depicting the vain engagements of British armor on the Somme river from 24 May to early June. These battles were fought against the stubborn German infantry (only) holding the south flank along the river while the panzers rushed to the sea. Not so tired infantry but some panic in front of the Allies' armor.
Fall Rot (from 5 June and on) saw the panzers returning and driving south from the Somme river against French hedgehogs. Massive French heavy armor counterattacks could save the day at that point but it was all spent. British armor was too light to weigh in that battle.
