Frustrated and feeling dumb - canology - 10-18-2026

Ok, I have created a PG sub-folder in my Mods folder, and PG Uber shows up when I start VASSAL, but none of the modules I've downloaded and extracted into that sub-folder show up at all. If I try to start a New Game I get just a empty menu, no maps are available, and no counters.
How do I get this to work?  Huh

PG Uber runs on a combination of extensions to build the game you want to play. What you need to do is have Vassal create an extension folder. So do this:
  1. Start Vassal
  2. Right-click on the PG Uber entry.
  3. Choose Add Extension from the drop-down menu.
  4. Pick any of the vdmx files you have (apparently in your PG Uber folder)
Vassal will create an extensions folder in your PG Uber folder and move the vmdx file (the extension) into that folder.
Now you can add the other extensions to that folder using the Add Extension function from the drop-down menu, or you can use Windows Explore to move them into the folder Vassal created.

Now when you run the PG Uber module, it will load the extensions in the extension folder and your game is playable.

Well, that didn't work. I followed your instructions, but no extensions folder was created.

I don't know what you did, but here is me doing it.

Starting with this:

Opening Vassal:

Right-click menu to add extension:

Navigate to extension files and choose 1. In this case OOB British Army 1939-42.

After clicking Open, the directory looks like this:

The British OOB is in the _ext directory and the that directory is where PG Uber will look for extensions in the future.
