Already fired and then defending in an assault - clarkmj111 - 07-22-2026 so a German activated - and fired at an adjacent stack. disrupoted on targer NE on the other German is marked moved/fired US then activates and assaults the hex I realise the rule says a unit defending in an assualt does not activate and is NOT marked with a fired/moved but if the already fired do they get to fire again in the assualt? In this instance its a German HMG cant they use full fire when defending? and first fire (as dug in?0 or do the HMG restrictions apply when they are the assault defender? They would be unable to initiate an assault until the next turn. (07-22-2026, 12:18 AM)clarkmj111 Wrote: In this instance its a German HMGThe HMG's defensive would be at full strength. The 1/2 strength condition applies when initiating an assault and there is no accompanying infantry in that assault. RE: Already fired and then defending in an assault - Grognard Gunny - 07-22-2026 The defending unit can always defend in an assault situation. (Looking at it realistically; They would be most silly sitting there with enemy troops swarming all over them!) GG |
