RE: Double LOS question - Grognard Gunny - 11-29-2025 If hex 1104 and 1103 are construed to be "light woods hexes" (as it is written in the rules), then neither of them can see the target hex. Elevation should have absolutely nothing to do with it. THAT is according to the rules as written. Any other reading of them are purely in the category of "house rules" (Read: for my convenience.) If you want get "real" about it, the MG is on the reverse slope of the two hex hill and could not see the American unit under any circumstances. (But THAT is a logical interpretation.) GG RE: Double LOS question - plloyd1010 - 11-29-2025 The consensus is that the LOS goes over the light woods in hex 1104. Thus the LOS is only going through 1 light woods hex (1103), so LOS is not obstructed. RE: Double LOS question - leonard - 11-29-2025 Yep. You need a good (japanese ?) knife to split hairs. RE: Double LOS question - Grognard Gunny - 11-29-2025 Yeah, I knew someone would find a way to get around the "not seeing through more than one light woods hex". ...and there is where the professors of mechanics extend, profoundly exude, and perpetuate confusion in the playing of "the game". .....and "keep it as simple as possible" goes out the window. Some people relish the chaos, I guess. GG |
