I own all of the Nations at War series from LNLP, and like them a lot. Just ordered Stalin's Triumph and Airborne (printed and PDF versions) a couple days ago. I have to agree with the pint that its much lighter than PG, and lacks the same depth....but I also mirror the point that I too play NAW solitaire, and the chit draw system plays well in that format.
I really like the mounted map boards (on those products they come with), and are a little more 'lively' than PG; and I think the armor counters are more along the lines I prefer, when compared to PG. Though I prefer PG's counters for Infantry having actual Infantry on the counters (vs the NATO symbol on NAW)....I personally feel LNLP counters have a nicer look.
I've never played World at War, but ordered Eisenbach Gap Deluxe a couple days ago....we'll see!
I like PG and LNLP games equally, to be honest...but for different reasons. Company-wise, I like Avalanche Press worlds better than LNLP.

Haven't pre-orderd Stalin's Triumph yet... waiting for Desert Heat to arrive. It's supposed to be here in Feb, which means it probably wukk get here in March, although it wouldn't surprise me if it slips to April. Assuming it arrives before May 15th, i'll most likely preorder ST.

I actually prefer LnLP to AP... Seems to be a bit more responsive, but then AP is also improving lately.

I'm waiting for Desert Heat, too. I was worried when LNLP announced they didn't have enough Pre-orders and were pulling the project. They got an earful on Facebook....including me!.....that the series' first major expansion being cancelled sends the wrong message towards the vitality of the NAW series. Thankfully, they heeded the advice and left it alone long enough for the minimum to make it in order to make the cut. I REALLY wanted this title.
Of course, no sooner did it make the cut, than word was put out by LNLP that they want more. I dont remember the exact wording but it annoyed me big time. I understand the whole preorder gig; and their in business to make money....but I found that really annoying. It's one of the reasons that if I had to choose between LNLP and AP....Avalanche Press would win in my book.

Agreed! Since I play almost entirely solo, the chit-draw mechanism really helps!
I've not delved into NaW's older brother WaW, but may one day as I do have LnL's squad-level game (Heores of the Gap) and battalion/regiment level game (Corps Commander: Dawns Early Light) of their hypothetical war.
I do own a couple of LnL WaW series games and supplements, since they are hypothetical like Dawns early Light which I also own, they are again fun for a non-historical gaming.
The WWII NaW series is fun for light war gaming and a very nice series to own as a second place to Panzer Grenadier Series for a little variety.
But compared to PG scenarios not counting the hypothetical ones, I know the Panzer Grenadier scenarios are more historically accurate. I mean I found a 7/23/44 scenario from the White Star Rising Tournament scenarios with a M26 in it. I guess it is ok, being that it is not historical. Still a fun playing must have game!
