When I removed the images from 4th Ed charts, I didn't dispose of the images. I saved them and washed them through my image viewer. This what came out. The colors are a little off, but the pictures are still pretty good.

I think the second and also the bottom pic was from the 'Signal' library of pictures.

I hope APL got permission to use them, if they are copywritten.

I think those images have been public domain for a very long time.
