and, ahem

CHINA
I suspect the reason we see so little on the East Asian theatre of operations is 1 unfamiliarity with place names and 2 a shortage of hobbyist-gamers who read Chinese, Burmese, and Thai. Dr. B's professional use of central and eastern European languages has given PG and IA a real boost, but we need people at the Asia desk.
Volume three of the Korean War will add lots of Chinese units. More than any WWII game.
Even just 1 Chinese unit would be more than the total of Chinese units present in all other PG games combined, Jay. I look forward to volume 3 of the Korean war primarily for that reason.

Having said that, China was third in terms of military deaths in WWII and I would love to see their story covered in several PG box games and supplements.
More than any world war 2 game? More than War of Resistance by GR/D? Nearly 1800 counters, including system counters, Japanese forces, and the forces of SIXTEEN Chinese and Mongolian factions. Best arguement I know of that Europe was just a sideshow and the main theatre of Operations in World War 2 was China, 1937-1945.
Let me restate that for you Larry, more than any WWII PG game would have!

Holy Smokes! Smile
-Operation Exporter - Brits, Aussies and Free French vs. Vichy French
-Maybe Iraq Uprising
-Norwegian battles
-Spanish Civil War
-Definately Imphal and Burma

I own this. Someday I will have a local friend and a big table to enjoy it with. Rolleyes
Going over this again, and had out the Anzio scenario book for miniatures, and it struck me we could use a lot more coverage of Italy. Anzio and Operation Fischfang, the German attacks that came after they finished bottling up the beaches.

Stalingrad - It's high time for the 6th Army!

Yes, Larry, I have War of Resistance. Looking for an abandoned GM plant to play it in. Or maybe a French submarine w/ an 8" gun (Surcouf)
