Three Gendarme platoons and six Volunteer platoons. According to the site Luxembourg in World War Two, "By 1940 [the] Duchy had a force of 268 armed gendarmes and 425 army volunteers under her colors and termed the Lëtzebuerger Arméi."
I've seen similar numbers. The officer corps had more than doubled by to 1940, reaching a total of 13. Little info the way of equipment, though I've gleaned there were some mortars, AT guns, and a couple armored cars.

I was just curious as to what the PG version was.
A handful of Gen 2-3 platoons and Mil 1-3 platoons, plus officers in their bright shiny parade uniforms and a 25 pounder artillery unit. And 4 steel gates.
All roads lead to Rome if not gated.

PY,

Stick an entrenchment counter on that barrier now man !

Lux'bourg has the cheapest Golden Virginia tobacco in western Europe and will defended from invasion at all costs.

I was in Lux lasy year actually. Very pretty place and a nice city centre too.
In the event the Wehrmacht went around the barrier, which needed to be defended by infantry and anti-tank guns to be of any use.
Damn pesky Germans ..... you'd have thought they'd have fallen for the old 'barrier' routine !

You mean like this...

Roadblock
By the way, the Luxembourger 25-pounder artillery unit is historical (C troop of the 1st Belgian Field Artillery Battery, 1st Belgian Infantry Brigade.), landed in Normandy as an August reenforcement to allied troops, and was part of the Belgian army of exile, participating in the liberation of Brussels, among other battles in the 1944-45 campaign.

I have to ask if we can have the Luxembourgers available for the liberation campaign of 44, why o why can't be have the Canadians? Too minor a power?
