PG-HQ is my site in the sense that I pay the bills and do a lot of the work.

However, PG-HQ is your site in the sense that you use it, and without you using it there is no purpose for its existence.

Historically, I have been opposed to including Infantry Attacks items in the Library/PG-HQ.

But I'm willing to open this one up for discussion again, now that there is another product out there (and probably more in the future).

Hmm?

###################

Verdict:
  • Infantry Attacks maps 45 and 49 have been added to the PG-HQ Library
  • consideration of further addition of non-PG materials put on hold until PG coverage hits 100%

We need to stay true to our roots and finish what we started before branching out. (we're about to be behind on games, we're way behind on counters)
The maps have already been tapped for use in at least one supplement (Workers and Peasants) and I would expect similar types of crossovers in the future, in terms of odd connections. While I know that they are NOT the same game the components can be used and once they exist in more quantity, will be used in PG in the future.

While we know next to nothing (or at least some of us know next to nothing) about the Modern PG, I expect a similar type of crossover there with components able to be used across lines.

Ultimately those components will be used by others to create their own scenarios and having them available and catalogued in one place will be highly useful.
If you add The Mouse That Roared you would have to add Infantry Attacks as well ad if you are going to do the time era before PG, then you must do the time era after PG as well, which would include Modern PG.

All in one location is fine with me but how to distinguish the three as separate systems?
Definitely include. All 3 eras use the same map system, and will be infinitely capable of cross fertilization. (the exception here might be the presence of roads, highways, and railroads on some maps, but that's not yet an issue.
do counter stats follow the same conventions?

do scenarios in IA or New PG have any additional datapoints that PG scenarios lack?
I can't speak for Modern War or new PG but Infantry Attacks has the same data configurations.
IIRC, way back when it was mentioned that Modern PG would have ammo limitations. I'm not sure if that will be on counter or not.
With Modern PG, nothing that cannot be retrofitted into the current structure. Shad, you may need to add a line or two in the counter listing but that is about it.
Ideally, I'd like to see Infantry Attacks and Modern PG on their own sites linked to PG-HQ.

I do think that the IA maps should be added to PG-HQ, whether IA and PG modern get their own sites or not. In addition to Workers and Peasants, Power of the East requires maps from IA: August 1914 for three scenarios and it would be nice to have them in the library.
Since IA is based on PG I say include the series. I like the idea of multiple era series of games that use very similar systems. Heck, I have been holding off playing IA because the platings don't yet count here.
