It would me nice to have the capability to distinguish unread posts from prior items as well as jumping to new postings within a thread.

Agreed. Added to the to-do list.

The first half of the feature request is basically complete. Unread posts will now be highlighted with a fancy dark red color. We are classy gents here, so it's fitting we mark new messages with a lovely shade of merlot.

I'm waiting to hear back from the myBB plug-in validation system. I'm releasing this plug-in publicly for other forums to use and want to make sure it's completely error free before I turn it on here.

Jump to unread will take longer, but is not terribly difficult...

We do have "go to first unread" functionality in-built after all!

Threads with new posts have a little green arrow next to their title:

[attachment=8]

clicking that will take you directly to the first new post.

I can make it more obvious by editing the template if you'd like. But the core functionality is native to the system.

I've gone ahead and enabled the new post highlight plug-in as you most certainly can see. I will lock this thread as resolved in 24 hours if you don't have any further feedback related to these 2 feature requests?

just used the feature to read the last two posts. works then.
