I am sure my typos are worst than normal as well! Sad
Are there good books about this campaign? I've read Ghost Soldiers. It is a good book, but I really want to read more about the regular army and its performance in this campaign, not elite units which we already know were outstanding.

On that subject, I'm surprised that there has never been a Ranger module. Hurtgen Forest would be the perfect starting point.
ParaMarine.

Many of the actual official histories can be found on line these days. The link below will get you to the PTO records

You will see the Rangers with their own counters in Sicily.
Jay, regarding counters, do you mean new sides like local Philippine forces, or new weaponry, or both? I'm curious what sort of weaponry used in the Pacific is still waiting to be "counter-ized" ...?
Yes the Filipinos have their own counters if that is what you are asking me Andrew?
Any new weapons or vehicles?

If you are talking about the Philippines 1941-42 and Philippines 1944-45, tons of new units, weapons and vehicles.

But every game I have designed so far has some types of new units.
Given how important the Battle of Manila was to the 1944-45 campaign are we finnaly going to see not only a city board but city fighting scenario's and rules? Glad you've done these however since they will most likely be 80USD+ boxes out of my price range.
Yes there are about five scenarios battling in the heart of Manila. Those Japanese Naval troops put up a hell of fight there.
