I happened to be inspecting my materials that came with "Invasion '44", when I noticed a lack of "light woods" hexes on the maps.

Is this set up that way, an oversight, or is my eyesight so bad that I cannot make out the difference? (Tell me it is not the last option!)

They all look quite similar. There are no references to light woods in the scenario book, but there are 6 references to woods. So I conclude there are no light woods. There is an orchard by an SSR in scenario 17.
Thanks for the info. At least I won't have to worry about my eyes going this year.......

There is a Terrain Chart on the back cover of the book version of Invasion 44. It says « Woods » under that terrain feature. No Light Woods thus despite the well-known orchard like drawing.

There are light woods in both Elsenborn Ridge and 1940: Fall of France, if you'd like to check those game maps to see the difference.
Haven't picked up those two games, as of yet..... I will eventually! Rest assured. I already have in excess of 100 scenarios to play out.... That should keep me busy for this year.

One of the blessings of being retired is picking what to do with your spare time. (.... and it's pretty much ALL spare time!)

Cue 50 other members of this site side-eying their collections and nervously chuckling... Big Grin
Shoot, I have only 9 PG games on my shelf of shame!
I have 139 games, but only 4 ribbons.
