Before 1955, the Chinese didn't have "ranks", it was more of a job thing. The other place where this concept appeared in the PG-verse was with the Austrian Schutzbund. Rather than a lieutenant, there is a platoon leader, Comrade Platoon Leader amongst them.
Difficult to simulate.
Interesting fact, I started working on the Korean War over ten years ago.
I think the Philippines has been almost 20 years!

So now you know why we simplified it.

I didn't think it was all that difficult.

I see you found the same table I did. Most of this I did on the road during my vacation.

You are welcome to present this to Mike but I think he wanted it so the average gamer to play.

Personally, I don’t care, either way.
I suggest that if you use the Chinese words for rank that you have something on the counters to distinguish the ranks like was done for the leaders in 1967: Sword of Israel.
We are going to use the traditional ranks like we did for the North Koreans. Easier to understand than doing that 5 year ranking period.
For Gold-Club Member:

If you guys want to get Chosin Reservoir into the current production run for the Korean War material, then more orders for it need to be placed, or it will have to wait longer, according to AP.
