PG-HQ Forums

Starting a couple of weeks ago, from time to time I click a site link and get this error:

Quote:ERROR

Connection Error

The server connection could not be established or was terminated early.

Please try again later.

Simply refreshing the page invariably gets me where I want to be, but I'm interested in the root cause.

Is this happening to anyone else?

If no, then it's probably our friends in Beijing playing games with the international internet connections again.

If yes, then we might be nearing the traffic limits of our modest hosting platform.

I had mentioned to you that there was issues with this quite a while back, but they have not occurred lately.

I had infrequent problem connecting 3-5 weeks ago but none lately.

No real problems here either.

I've not experienced any login problems, but if I login to the Forums; then log-out in the Forums; I cannot log-out from the main site. The only way, it seems, to do that is to clear my cache/cookies. If I only login to the main site and do not access the Forums, then the logout at the main site seems to work.

Some quick testing suggests that the log-out functions for both Comms and PG-HQ proper only affect themselves, rather than logging you out of both simultaneously (as is desired). I'll make a note to fix that.
