Is it a typo that the 88mm Flak has bombardment fire? Didnt know it was used as artillery.
No it isn't. Yes it was, occasionally, rather like a long range mortar.
But you are not the first to ask the question....do some searches in the forum...

Imagine that high velocity shell arcing up and then down like a mortar.....  yea.... I have same problem...

Firing with explosive flack over troops, certainly....but, the arc...not really the right kind of weapon...
But....
It is a game....sigh....  What troubles me is there is no DIRECT fire for it if it is indirect...THAT I think is pretty
inexcusable.....
It is really odd. Does it break the game to make it a direct fire weapon?
I meant more like a mortar in usage, not necessarily in how the shell is delivered. The trajectory would have been much flatter, but impacting or bursting out of sight of the gun. When used in "direct fire mode" it will resolve in the 16 column, but it doesn't play well with others.
I didnt even realize it had the option to do both is that on the tokens stats or a special rule sometimes?
Any unit with a bombardment factor may fire on a unit it can see. They get a +1 column shift. 88mm guns have a 12, add a column, they are a 16.
