Question concerning a leaders combat value..in reading the rules, might I assume that a combat value of 1 would allow the leader to combine the fire in 1 adjacent hex....a value of 2 ..the firepower of 2 adjacent hexes....and a 0 combat modifier ,only that hex can fire..? I also realize that the combat bonus can also be added to the fire power of the units in the hexes..
Thanks
All that is correct.....
you have to be in one hex, and then can add what's in adjacent....so--best he stacks with someone to start...maybe a couple someones...

The question I have----in a situation where the leader is Disrupted....What happens to his Combat Modifer?

A) in terms of # of hexes---I think he can't add outside hexes in (he cannot morale modify---so why can he combine fire??)--rules say good ordered leader---so that's done...

B) if he is a 2---does he become a 1 add for DF?....as a disrupted unit is his Combat modifier add 1/2ed?  according to 14.2 I think this is true...it says
for disrupted, "unit or leader" "Has all its combat strengths halved"...so that is DF, AT fire, Bombardment, or Leader Combat modifiers (their only combat strength)....
Thanks..you posed good questions..as being new to the system,I’ll be sure to keep a lookout for responses...

I think the answers are A) he don't get to do it---he's not good order
B) he is 1/2'd ....

The RAW are read that way.
I think the question is "Does Combat Modifier = Combat strength"?  My thought is "probably."  Otherwise, why mention leaders in there at all?  OTOH, morale doesn't get affected, except that a disrupted leader can only affect units in his own hex, so I'm not 100% sure.
This was also discussed in this post and was determined there that the Combat modifiers are not halved...

Gents,

I have read "RAW" a couple of times.  What does that acronym mean?  I can't even guess based on context.  R = Rules?  A=?  W=?
