Novice question: suppose a truck, carrying one inf platoon and one leader, is hit by AT fire and takes one step loss. The truck doeas have only one step, so it is destroyed. What happens to the inf platoon and the leader?
Rule 5.65 says that the vehicle and occupants are eliminated.
I try never to transport units where they can be hit by AT fire.
Thank you guys for the feedback. Another novice question (to check if I correctly understood the comment of my VASSAL mentor): OP with Direct Fire vs a truck transporting personnel, gets the +1 column shift as if it were OP fire vs personnel unit?

Actually I don't think you do get the +1 for firing at Personnel.........
Vehicles are not Personnel.....they clearly differentiate Transport as NOT Personnel in the definitions (page 5)

Don't think so. the only +1 against loaded trucks is for bombardment fire. No modifier for direct/opportunity fire.
