Massive Forum Update/Upgrade

We're not quite done yet, but I didn't want to keep the doors locked any longer. We'll be making changes to the visuals throughout this week as time permits.

What's Changed?

• 5 years of bugfixes
  
• 5 years of security patches
  
• 5 years of performance improvements
  

What's New?

• completely new post format tool that's much more versatile than the old one
  
• lots of new Smilies, if that's your thing
  
• the ability to Like a post
  

What's Still Coming?

• the ability to at someone like this: @Shad -- and have them receive an alert calling their attention to your post the next time they visit
  
• PG-HQ officer ranks in your post header
  
• PG-HQ tour of duty ribbons in your post header
  
• something approaching our old color scheme (previous template was nuked during the upgrade process)

Okay, much more colorful. I like the formatting tools in the quick reply window.
There is an auto save message that keeps popping up. Is there some way to relocate that?
The PG-HQ banner doesn't link back to the main sight anymore.

That about covers what I see right off.

Plus one on that. This is unquestionably the best game site online anywhere, and huge thanks to all that keep it so up to date!

Mostly lurk nowadays, but still appreciate the Site and all the work Shad & the rest of you put in.

Btw, TheDoctor is now a tank platoon leader (2LT) in a CAV (RSTA) squadron (part of an ABCT).

Indeed.  I can't help but think of him still in middle school pushing PG chits across the board whereas now he is leading a platoon of M1A2 Abrams main battle tanks (and their crews).  He IS the chit now!
