I think Matt's addition of the Battle Campaign as seen in FitS is a great idea. The difference between it and other Battle Campaigns is that Shad(?).or Peter(?) set up gaining points for players
who finish ganing the entire campaign. So far I only see this done with FitS but I haven't seen Dunkirk yet.
(It has not been done with AOI.)
What is the feeling of others in the group a b out adding points for players who complete campaigns?

Also, what is the feeling a n out adding campaigns to older games tthat have no campaigns? At least one other player has started to group scenarios into campaigns for the older games such as EFD.
...
I can't speak for Peter, but I don't do any development work on PG games so don't credit me! Big Grin
I didn't do any of them. (Dr. Mike didn't respond to my query about what being a developer would entail either.) What I can say is that battle games have appeared in Counter Attack, Invasion '44, Kokoda Campaign, Dunkirk, Armata Romana, and Broken Axis. There are also several linkable scenarios on the older games. Mike P. came up with an interesting Battle/Mini-campaign game idea for Gate of Leningrad, but I don't know if the developers took it up.
But someone made it so that a player could receive points by finishing each campaign in FitS. This is unique to FitS. Am I right?
...
I don't fathom. What points are you talking about?
I understand he is questioning the Pz-Hq scenario lists. Some of them do mention battlegames separated from individual scenarios while others do not ( invasion 44 has no battlegame listed, for example).
If that is the case, the culprit is Robin. PG-HQ isn't set up to handle battle games, campaigns or other linked scenarios. He was improvising with the tools available.
I originally started adding the Battle Games to the ends of the scenario lists, since there was no other way to capture them.  As I understand, Shad is contemplating adding them as a separate category.  With that in mind, I have not added them for Road to Dunkirk (hence the six empty scenarios) and did not include scenario numbers for them in Africa Orientale Italiana. Once Shad figures out how (if?) to handle them, they'll hopefully leave the 'regular' scenario lists.

I don't know how much work it will be for Shad to do all this, and I'm certainly not going to make promises on his behalf.  I'm sure Shad is open to suggestions if anyone has ideas to make adding them easier and/or more useful to the players.
Peter, you should write Matt if you have questions about developing scenarios.

I am developing the Moroccan supplement and I will be hopefully done in a couple of months. I will then take a long break so I can reduce my growing pile of unplayed games to a much more manageable size.

Daniel, we have exchanged a couple emails on the subject. From what he said, I expect I would be pretty good. I don't know if Dr. Mike is actually looking for someone. Even if he is, he might have other ideas. He also might think that I am too radical. I am still open to the idea, just don't expect much to happen at this point.
