Just want to confirm, if multiple units wish to opportunity fire on a moving unit in the same segment they all must be designated to do so before any fire is resoled, correct?  

13.1 is not clear but to me implies it with "The inactive player designates the firing unit(s) during the unit's movement."

Then if in such a situation the first unit kills the moving unit, the other designated units are marked as having fired, correct? 

That is way we play it. Then again, we have occasionally played rather loose with sequencing.

Multiple units may perform Opportunity Fire attacks in any order desired. Opportunity Fires are designated one at a time, allowing a player to see how one turns out before performing another.
