RE: Marine Platoon organization 1941-45
The Mauser 98/M 1903A3 action is the most liked by people who build rifles from stock ones because of the the 3 lug locking action.

The Marines and the Army in 1941-42 in the Pacific (Philippines, Wake, Guadalcanal) were all still using the BAR/M 1903/M 1911 pistol. As far as I know the first US troops to take the M1 into combat were at Torch or possibly New Guinea.

My guys won't look like our loveable jar-heads from Semper Fi and Saipan because I don't have any of the pdf proofs or other scalable images of them. Fortunately I am not entirely without artistic talent. Since my copy of Saipan still has not arrived, how many should I make?
Oops, I thought I already answered that one.

First shalt thou take out Inkscape, then shalt thou make twenty four counters, no more, no less. Twenty four counters shall be the number thou shalt make, and the number of counters shall be twenty four.

  1. Opened Inkscape, done.
  2. Rework troopers as marines, done
  3. Layout counters with a 9-3 DF, done
  4. Make 24 counters (no more/no less), uper aneime Danny boy! There are 27, and you'll like it! Angry
I laid them out in what has become my standard layout.
... More and more, people around the world are coming to realize that the world is flat! Winking
