Edelweiss Counters
I was looking through my copy of Edelweiss and noticed it has 74 counters (one sheet of 70 plus the 4 boat/mortar counters) but when I look at the writeup here it says Edelweiss comes with 161 counters.  I'm wondering if that's a typo or if maybe the different editions of Edelweiss came with differing numbers of counters.

RE: Edelweiss Counters
Edelweiss has 74 counters. Edelweiss Expanded and Edelweiss IV have 161. Which Edelweiss have you got? The original Edelweiss had 24 scenarios and 74 counters.

RE: Edelweiss Counters
I have the one from 2013 that was a book.  I believe it's called Edelweiss Expanded.  The back of the book has a section about the counters and mentions there are supposed to be 161, but I can't find a scan of the 161 counters to determine if I have all the counters or not.  The only counter scan I've seen is for the 74 counter version of the supplement.

RE: Edelweiss Counters
Have you counted your counters? Edelweiss Expanded added Gebirgsjäger ski troops, corrected the H39 tanks, gave the SS Gebirgsjägers a couple tanks, had German and Soviet strongpoints and an Italian 88mm gun.

Does that help?

RE: Edelweiss Counters
Back in the day I put my counters into bead sorters.  Problem is, now it's years later and I'm trying to marry up counters with games/supplements.   If I don't have a counter scan to know what goes where, I'm lost.  Do all the Edelweiss counters (apart from the S35 and H38 tank counters) have that image of a sprig of edelweiss at the top?  If so I think I've located the missing counters.  Thanks for the help.

RE: Edelweiss Counters
All the edelweiss units plus the three tanks plus the original 74 counters adds up to 144.  Now I have to try to figure out what the other 17 counters are.

RE: Edelweiss Counters
There should be German and Russian strong points that will make 12. You may have an Edelweiss sledge buried in with your wagons, that could be your 13th. The Italian 88mm would make 14. Did you find the 2 SS H38's? That could be 15 & 16. You seem to be pretty close. One or two counters in the wrong pocket could get you over the top.

RE: Edelweiss Counters
That should work nicely.  Thanks.  Now I just gotta go through the list and see what I've found and what I still need to find.  Thanks again.

RE: Edelweiss Counters
I guess there was another PzG product that I don't have. I'll have to keep my eyes out for them. I never realized there was a third edition of Edelweiss that was printed. I had always thought 3ed was the PDF of the 2nd edition expanded version. The original expanded edition had the same counters as the non expanded version, but the expanded scenario book that was reprinted in 3rd.
