Reinforcing an Assault Hex + Lone Leaders in Assault

Sometimes it is better just to DF with the adjacent hex 2-column shift when attacking enemy units in town. The assault column shift against a unit in defensive posture in town can be brutal. Once you give the fire order to the units adjacent to the town, do the math, and DF may look a lot better. If you can get a DM and the enemy unit fails to recover, you may be able to move into the hex the next turn anyhow, or assault weakened enemy units.
