The Desert Rats New Zealand foot units have the same values as the Afrika Korps Australian foot units.
You can check this by opening both the Afrika Korps page (
http://pg-hq.com/library.php?type=game&id=AfKo) and the Desert Rats page (
http://pg-hq.com/library.php?type=game&id=DeRa) in separate tabs and expanding the Order of Battle for both.
The game page can be accesses by selecting "Library --> Games" from the left-side menu on the main PG-HQ page.

You can also verify if the leaders are a close enough match by doing the following. Select "Player Tools --> Impartial Leader Selector" from the left-side menu. This will display the Impartial Leader Selector page.
Right-click on "Afrika Korps" and select "Open link in new tab" to display the "Impartial Leader Selector: Afrika Korps" page. Click "List All AfKo" on the ILS sidebar located on the right-side to display a page listing all the leaders for this game.
Do the same thing for Desert Rats.
You can check if the leaders are close enough in ratings for this to be a non-issue for you.
