As you all probably know, I am very much a dyed in the wool supporter and fan of the Avalanche game line. I'm not blind to the fact that there are warts on our baby though. I think it is pretty lousy that Up in the Attic's name is being deleted from republications of scenario notes appearing on the website. Doug McNair effort, migraines, and inspired ideas will always be part of PanzerGrenadier and the naval series.

Maybe you should let Mike know as you seem to have a direct line of contact with him.

Telling somebody how to run their own business usually just results in damaged friendships.

Then I see no pint to your thread; a private email to Doug McNair would be a much better way to show your support than making it a public issue that you are not willing to discuss with your friend.

Seconded.

You are both right. My sympathies to Doug and several other Avalance wounded, and I have privately addressed the issue in a letter to Mike.

In my view, his "Tactics" article from ER #22 will probably always be the apotheosis of AAR writing:

Tactics in Elsenborn Ridge
Scenario 22: 'St. Vith: The Fall,' Part 1 (and 2, 3, and 4)
By Doug McNair
January 2010 (orig July 2008)

Let the name of Moses be stricken from every book and tablet, stricken from all pylons and obelisks, stricken from every monument of Egypt. Let the name of Moses be unheard and unspoken, erased from the memory of men for all time.

The Ten Commandments

I think Larry was merely airing a thought he had in a location that he was free to air it (as opposed to CSW). Until he had, I didn't even know dear old Doug had been scrubbed from the credits.
