In PG 4th Edition, how many times do you halve combat strengths?  Only once or for each reason?  For example a 7-4 HMG is disrupted and attacks alone in assault.  Is its combat strength 4 or 2?

I may be having rules confusion with another game but I seem to recall you only halve once regardless of the number of times it is called for but I'm not finding it in the rules.
There is no restriction as to how many times a unit's firepower can be halved in the rules.

A disrupted 7-4 HMG unit in an assault hex would thus attack with 2 strength (7 x 1/2 x 1/2, total rounded up).

Thanks.  It must be game confusion.  Too many rules rolling around in the attic.

You mean like when I play Combat Commander and keep forgetting the leaders don't affect guys in adjacent hexes like they do for PG?
Hah, yeah we've been playing CC too. That and remembering to roll moral checks last for leaders in CC.

Funny, I do the same thing all the time, or at least the one time each month that I play CC in the BGG ladder. The other thing that carries over is stack activation, which doesn't work in CC the same way, and can get your tactics in some serious trouble.
