.Serious support for Empires Fall has begun.  Considering that the 1914-5 Galicia campaign was (I believe) Dr B's doctoral dissertation topic, we may see a lot more support as I A takes its place as the senior PG line :-).

They didn't call it the GREAT war for nothing.
I was wrong, Dr B's dissertation was on Austrian strategy in the Potato War.
Fall and Lawrence now fast tracked. 2nd edition rules to accompany the small introductory game coming later, which I believe will be Western Front and include 2 Bulge maps with new art.
2nd edition rules? Nice! I just picked up a used copy of Infantry Attacks: August 1914 and having an updated rule set would be fantastic.

I wonder when we could expect it to be available?
2nd edition will come out the the intro game (ala Invasion 1944 for PG). Fall and Lawrence will use first edition rules (Mike didn't want to further delay them with an additional set of play testing for 2.0 rulesset.

Thanks for the info Larry.
Those who ordered empires and Lawrence together for the promotional counter sets will end up with an additional 2 dozen or so scenarios for Empires (and or also some covering actions in 1914.)
Now its just a matter of when? WHEN ?...Adding the two additional scenario books to accompany the release has doubtlessly delayed things yet again.
Fall of Empires is now officially the next box to be released, in tandem with Fire on the Steppes. My internal defibrillator kept me alive (I died and was revived Dec 4th) just long enough to see this one come out :-)
And with the release, we will now meet Shad's Criteria for full representation: coverage of the 6 additional maps, 205 scenarios, unit types, formations, nationalities, and maybe, something that should be grouped together, a library category of terrain and structure counters. And begin posting AAR's.

And of course..Hills and Fields will change the way we use our maps from here out :-)
