June 1948: the American 2nd Armored Cavalry squares off against the Russian Poltava Tank Division. The Americans, not wanting to get cooped up on just one third of the battlefield, decide to make good use of their superior speed, and move eastward. However they overstretch and quickly they find themselves in a pickle. Naively the American M24’s engage the T44’s in an AT firefight. Bad idea! Straightaway they know they made a terrible mistake! Within minutes, half of the American tank units are reduced to burning hulks, with not a mark on the superior Russian tanks. Demoralized, the Americans know that the battle is over and they decide to skedaddle to safety and to take some extra tank tactics seminars.
