Fighting was centered around the town of Protasova, with the Germans clearing one Soviet entrenchment after another as they outflanked the town. German OBA, mortar fire and air support helped disrupt and demoralize the Soviet positions, but it was all on the well lead 7-3 Storm platoons that did the heavy fighting, many platoons were reduced but few eliminated.
