The American Commander made the terminal mistake of keeping his troops in the Armored carriers much too long. Got them shot up! (The idea was to keep the Infantry from harm for a turn or two until the assaults could be made ready. Wrong answer!) What with that and the idea that the Japanese Commander could get a quick three "steps" with each Inf/VT combo loaded shot up with that off-board Arty..... it didn't take long to rack up the necessary "steps" to win. The only good thing that came of this one was that a breakthrough came at the North end of the beach and the American Commander was turning the flank.... but time ran out.
